Pair of woman's straight trousers of purple silk woven with a pattern of birds and painted with flowers, buds and butterflies, mainly in white and yellow. At the top is a deep band of dark blue cotton. Each leg has a border at the bottom of blue satin embroidered with flowers, butterflies and endless knots in between two rows of formal leaves, in coloured silks and gilt thread. The border bound with black satin along both edges. Above this border is stitched a woven braid-butterflies, birds and formal motifs on an orange ground. Lined with green cotton.
