Object history | Registered File number 1994/744, Streetstyle exhibition 1994-1995, in the exhibition it was part of an outfit called 'Rockabilly UK 1977-8' (includes the donkey jacket T.561-1993, the boots T.562-1993, the jeans T.563-1993 and the bootlace tie T.310-1994). The look was deliberately dishevelled and shabby, in reaction to the overly smart and polished Teddy Boy look of the previous generation. However, some features from Teddy Boy fashion were retained, such as the bootlace tie. |
