Object history
Registered File number 1993/2054, Streetstyle exhibition 1994-1995, in the exhibition it was part of an outfit called 'Cowboy and Western USA - Late 1940s' (includes the shirt T.608-1993 and collar tips T.610-1993, the tie T.609-1993, the hat T.611-1993 and the boots T.612-1993 and toe caps T.613-1993).


This Western-style suit was made in 1993-1994 from a original late 1940s pattern. It would have been worn as an evening outfit in America, and was displayed in the Street Style Exhibition of 1996 as a Cowboy and Western Revival outfit. The polyester gabardine fabric would originally have been wool gabardine.
