Sauce boat of soft-paste porcelain, irregularly fluted, moulded in relief with chain ornament under the spout, and "stars" on three moulded claw feet, loop handle. Painted in enamels and gilt with two quails and flowering trees and formal border, the so-called "partridge pattern" in imitation of the Japanese Kakiemon style.
