Man's three piece suit consisting of a jacket, trousers and waistcoat in black, brown and white Scottish wool tweed and with large red over the check.
Single-breasted jacket with three-button fastening, two side pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. The buttons are of bone and the lining of brown and blue shot sateen. Inside the right inner breast pocket is the label.
Plus four trousers with a fly front, four brace buttons, and hip and button back pocket. They fasten at the ankle with chromium buckle marked 'ARMFIELD AND CO. LTD., BIRMINGHAM'.

Object history | This suit was worn by the husband of the donor. She dated each item in her collection and also sent the accessories that she considered appropriate for each outfit. Mr Rothfield died in 1931. He was a slim, elegantly dressed man, who was meticulous about his dress. |
