Object history
This is one of a Set of 16 panels explaining and illustrating a brief history of Archigram, giving a description and incorporating parts of Archigram's entries in two competitions for projects in Monte Carlo. The projects were for an Entertainment Facility (1969) and projects for a Summer Casino (1972), neither was built.

Archigram won first prize in the Monte Carlo Competition in January 1970 and were then asked to design extra facilities. This resulted in nearly trebling the estimated cost and the project was not built.

This particular panel is numbered 1. and is an introductory sheet with a brief History of Archigram 1961-1972, featuring images of 3 projects: 'The Walking City' 'Living Pod' and 'The Instant City'.
