Woven silk and metal thread.
Striped pattern:
[1] light blue ground with a line of red triangular flowers above green leaves offset with two half motifs. [2] wider strip with an undecorated gold ground [silver strip open S-wound on a white silk core]. [3] as [1]. [4] wider stripe with worn metal ground as [2] and a line of a stylized floral motif: round, red flower above a pair of red birds with blue wings sitting on a branch which ends with three green leaves and from which hangs a bell-like red and blue flower; red stylized roots.
There is a woven inscription across the top of the main piece. The end has been folded under. There is a selvedge down the right hand side which has been turned under and stitched.
