Woven silk.
Dark blue warp and blue weft. Wider at the top than the bottom. Diagonal stripes running from lower right to upper left. The narrow stripes have a blue ground with a meander and two different shapes of pink flowers. These stripes are edged with narrow, undecorated lines of pink, dark blue and green. The wider stripes have two designs:
[1] white ground with a small indistinct pattern which includes large, downward pointing pink flowers with a large diagonal green bird to the right of it;
[2] dark blue ground with six diamond designs of upward pointing vertical floral sprigs.
The piece has been cut down the sides and also across the top and bottom.
There are decorative bands at the bottom: white and red checks, a green and pale pink chevron and white and pale pink checks.
