Jug of earthenware transfer-printed in black enamel, and barrel shaped with a spreading base and mouth, outlined in red, flat loop handle and projecting lip. On each side is a composition made up of various Masonic emblems, and one side includes a lamb holding a banner inscribed '144000', a scroll inscribed 'A New NAME written, which no Man knoweth, saveth him that receiveth it', a book with a page inscribed 'In the East a Place full of LIGHT where reigneth silence and Peace', two globes, set-square and compass, and an arrangement of two concentric Solomon's seals inscribed with various initials. On the other side are two fluted columns on a chequered floor and inscribed 'VIDE AUDE TACE' and 'SPTLUX FTEUX FUIT' [sic] surmounted by figures of Faith and Charity, with a figure of Hope and a number of Masonic emblems, and scrolls inscribed 'MEMNTO [sic] 'MORI' in the space between.
