Lady's hat of black satin corded quilted in machine stitching. It is a flat beret shaped by a crease across the crown over which is stitched a black ostrich and blue and red feather mount. It is draped with wide mesh black silk veil which extends over the face.
The hat is interlined, wire stiffened and lined with white. There is a black grosgrain ribbon band and a double, pale brown silk elastic stay. There are two small hat pins with black satin covered pleated heads.
