Bibliographic reference
In 'Aubrey Beardsley: A Catalogue Raisonné, Volume II' by Linda Gertner Zatlin, Yale University Press, 2016, the author notes on p. 109 that Beardsley may not have titled this work himself and indeed it must be remembered he rarely titled his drawings. On p. 110, she notes that 'The profile of the woman can be identified as that of Beardsley's sister Mabel whom he drew repeatedly'.
