Small evening hat, cut close to the head in a beret style. Densely and richly covered in dark and light purple sequins, silvered bugle beads, and paste gems. The edge is trimmed with dark blue velvet over a wired frame. Inside the hat is stiffened with an inner brim of straw covered with stiff, white silk. The decorative beads, etc. are stitched onto a single layer of the same white silk.
