Gallery label	(2019) The CD began to dominate music sales in the 1990s. It changed how we encounter music as the format requires less handling than an LP. The ritual of putting on a record became less ceremonial, and CD covers had less of a visual impact. The much smaller format pushed designers to think creatively, resulting in innovative CD artwork.
