Object history
Awarded to the donor's sister-in-law, Lilian/ Lily Elby, born c.1924-26. Her taking of this certificate on the same day as the quarter mile certificate (B.293-1999) suggests that the E.L.S.A.A. stipulated that all candidates held this certificate as a minimum and did not recognise those awarded by any other bodies.
