Three tulip blooms with leaves rise from a low mound in blue, turquoise green and manganese-purple. The back has a letter B in manganese-purple. Two blue lines at the rim. Three stilt marks on the front (8.5 cms point to point).
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: White. A lead glaze with pale turquoise pools and streaks radiating from the foot over a pale slip covers the entire back. Three prominent stilt points adhere to the foot-rim (7.5 cms point to point).
Shape: Shape B with sharply everted rim without a groove. Foot-rim pierced with one hole before firing. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
