A fully-rigged ship with a figure head of a lion (?) and seven guns and the inscription Diadem in blue. The back has the inscription Francis Gott/1752 in blue.
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Bluish white, pooling on the underside. Many small white dots in the glaze, particularly visible on painted areas.
Shape: Shape M with wider flange. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
