The interior is covered with powdered blue with the exception of nine reserved panels with flower and leaf sprays on the border and in the centre a standing Chinese figure holding a lantern (?) suspended from a stick, a fence, flowering shrub, bird and a flying insect in blue.
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Greyish white, pooling on the exterior and lightly crazed. Three peg-marks on the exterior at the rim.
Shape: The bowl has a slightly upturned press-moulded, fluted and scalloped rim, rounded sides and a recessed foot. Noticeable turning rings on the exterior. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
