Punch bowl of tin-glazed earthenware painted with enamels. The interior has a fully-rigged ship and the inscription 'Success to the Friend / Ship 1766'. The figurehead is in the form of a crowned lion. The flags and parts of the ship are painted in a brownish red. All the rest of the decoration inside and outside is in blue. The exterior has two sprays of flowers and leaves.
