The front is covered with powdered 'dead-leaf' brown with the exception of nine reserved panels with alternating leaves and flower sprays on the border and a centre scene of a bird, fence, flowers and a flying insect in blue. The rim is in dark brown.
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Greyish white, pooling on the back, particularly at the rim.
