Jug, the whole exterior sponged in dark blue. Gilt metal mounts in sixteenth century style but probably of late nineteenth or early twentieth century date. Struck within the lid a mark I L flanking a hand or glove within a circle.
Body colour: Reddish buff.
Glaze: Bluish cream on the interior. Underside unglazed.
Shape: Handle flat on inside, concave on outside. Very slightly concave on underside. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
