Dish of tin-glazed earthenware, painted. Tulips, carnations and leaves stand in a round vase, painted in blue, ochre, brown and mid green. Blue dashes and a blue and ochre line at the rim. Three stilt marks on the front (9.5 cms point to point). Body colour: Buff. Glaze: Shiny white on the front. A dry looking greenish-grey lead-glaze over a pale slip covers the entire back with radiating streaks. In some areas close to the foot-rim are small spots of blue, green and white pigment, well proud of the surface. The lead-glaze appears to cover a streak of tin-glaze on an area of the rim. The foot-rim has been wiped almost entirely clean of glaze.
