Object history
The name of the compiler of this album is not known. The family names which appear most often are Colley, Vernon and Hutchinson. There are photographs of military men, both carte-de-visite and group photographs, including the 10th Hussars in 1862. Four of the watercolours cover whole pages, surrounding four carte-de-visite each. The other watercolours and drawings are mainly small views of buildings, possibly representing the houses belonging to the people portrayed in the photographs.
