Waistcoat

Man's waistcoat made of wool sateen with narrow woven stripes in blue and yellow. Fastening with seven brass buttons embossed with a sitting lion. It has a stand collar, one welted breast pocket on the left hand side, and two welted pockets at the waist on each side. The collar and the lapels are faced with the main striped fabric. The waistcoat is lined with cotton. It has been altered with a large gored panel of cotton twill inserted into the centre-back. Hand-stitched throughout, except for the later alteration, which is machine-stitched, as is the back hem.
