Cup of grey fritware, painted in blue, reddish-brown and olive-green on a white slip and covered with a clear glaze. Hemispherical in shape, with a high spreading foot. Inside on the bottom is an Arabic word in Kufic characters. The inscription is on a dotted ground. Round the inside of the rim is a conventional border and on the outside is a row of interlaced semicircles above a band of guilloche pattern.
