Dish of fritware, painted with dragons and flowers in cobalt blue under a clear glaze.
A band of scrolling leaves and florets decorates the flange. Brackets with lotus finials and hanging jewels in the well link ten lobed panels with alternating fans and leafy flowers. A treble circle surrounds a double dragon composition, one with a scrolling leaf motif and two floets, the other plain with simplified flame motifs. In both halves elongated winged dragons prance in opposite directions. They have long manes, protruding snouts, sparse beards and complex tails. Seven S-shapes with quartered flowers and leaves and finials emphasise the outer flange. Four S-stems with central flowers and leaves decorate the outer well with stars and crossed leaves as dividers.
