This bronze medal depicts a seated figure of Minerva holding a laurel wreath in her right hand and a wreath and palm-branch in her left. On either side of her floats a genius, one of whom also carries a wreath. The obverse bears the word 'AU MÉRITE', 'With Merit'. while the reverse depicts a laurel wreath and it is stamped on the edge 'Bronze'.
