Gallery label
The seal impressed 'JS JM Stirling 1827'. Although this type was traditionally attributed to Nailsea, it is now known that Nailsea produced only soda-lime glass of greenish colour and crown (window) glass. The seal on this example makes a Scottish attribution highly probable.
