Typographical poster in green and black headed with the words ROYAL ENGLISH OPERA within a banner, above the words COVENT GARDEN surrounding the royal crest. Advertising the opera 'The Armourer of Nantes' by M.W. Balfe and J.V. Bridgeman starring Louisa Pyne as Marie, followed by the opera 'Freya's Gift' by John Oxenford and G.A. Macfarren, with Louise Pyne as Freya, in honour of the nuptials of HRH the Prince of Wales and HRH Princess Alexandra, Covent Garden Theatre, 11 March 1863. Also advertising the following week's Benefit for Mr. W. Harrison, joint lessee of the theatre, when Benedict's 'Lily of Killarney' was to be performed. The evening began with a performance of the Procession March by Arthur Sullivan.
