Constitution - but not this kind!

Poster
1989 (designed and printed)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This image is based on a pun around the double meaning of the Hungarian word ‘alkotmány’. It can mean the state constitution or, alternatively, something that has been botched together. The creation of a new constitution was essential for Hungary to make the transition to a democracy. Through this poster, the Alliance of Free Democrats calls public attention to the importance of creating a better constitution for the new Hungarian Republic than that belonging to the former (communist) Hungarian People’s Republic.
