This anonymous flyer bearing a photograph of a Chinese girl holding a banner served as an invitation to a peaceful demonstration against the brutal repression of the pro-democracy movement in the People´s Republic of China. The student demonstration in Czechoslovakia was organized in support of the Chinese liberation movement that lasted seven weeks, from the15th of April until the night of the 3rd-4th June, when Chinese tanks cleared Tiananmen Square killing and injuring many citizens and arresting many Chinese students. The Czechoslovak student demonstration was organized on the 3rd of December, marking half a year since the Tiananmen Square massacre. It ended in front of the entrance to the Chinese Embassy in Prague where a petition for the release of the arrested Chinese students was delivered.
