Object history | This print is probably derived from an earlier woodcut an impression of which is in the collection of the New York Historical Society. The print in New York has the same composition but is more elaborate in certain details and the cutting of the block is finer. It was published in London by C. Dicey, active 1763-80, and may itself be based on an even earlier prototype as yet unidentified. |
