Gallery label
20th Century Gallery. '8. RECORD SLEEVE: POWER CORRUPTION & LIES BY NEW ORDER Designed by Peter Saville (British, born 1955) and PSA Issued by Factory Communications, Great Britain, 1983 Colour offset lithograph Given by the designer E.2292-1990 Saville has wilfully omitted type from the sleeve to intensify the presence of the fine art quotation, a flower painting by the 19th-century French artist, Fantin-Latour. It is a sedate image which conflicts with the unsettling title and the austere modernity of the music.'
