Free Democrats - we know it, we dare it, we do it

Poster
1990 (designed and printed)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

The self-assurance and energy radiating from this Free Democrats slogan is characteristic of the party's campaign in the first free elections in Hungary following the collapse of communism. It is based on the experience gained by the party's activists in the opposition movement prior to the period of political transition. György Kara designed an effective poster using purely typographic means. He created a special rhythm of form and background using a Times font (associated with the press) that was chosen for the party's graphic identity.
