Caricature of the Irish petition for Catholic Emancipation, showing Napoleon with his hand on the shoulder of the Pope who is blessing the kneeling figures of Charles James Fox, the 11th Duke of Norfolk, Richard Brinsley Sheridan, the 12th Earl of Derby, and Earl Moira, while Henry Grathan stands at the back swinging a censer. British. Lettered with title, inscribed with captions and Pubd, May 27th 1805 by S W Fores 50 Piccadilly and Folios of Caracatures lent out for the Evening. With the mark of the collection of Frank A. Gibson on the back.
