Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
This poster is part of a campaign of bold, vividly coloured information posters commissioned to brighten up dull railway stations. The design company Johnson Banks was partly inspired by the spirit of railway posters of the 1920s and 1930s and this influence can be detected in the use of reduced shapes and flat masses of colour. This poster refers to the threat of terrorism represented by unattended luggage on the rail network. The series was nominated for BBC and D&AD (British Design and Art Direction) awards.
