Kalian (water-pipe base), fritware, green glazed, the neck with white rosettes in white slip; Iran, 17th century.
Physical description
Kalian or base to a water pipe or hookah, coarse fritware, of globular form tapering at the top, pierced at the neck with a second smaller hole high on the shoulder, the neck framed with a band of applied six-petal rosettes (the mouth missing and reduced in height), covered in an opaque pale green slip.
