Object history | Coffee service (?) for a single person, comprising a tray, coffee pot and cover, sugar bowl and cover, cream jug, and cup and saucer 414:764/ to G (Sch. I 765 to G). The set was purchased by Lady Charlotte Schreiber from Cavalle or Cavallo, London, for £36 in January 1869. It was previously catalogued as a tea service, but the cup is a coffee cup, and the position of the spout on the pot is most unusual for a teapot. |
