Object history | Part of a service consisting of a plate, sugar bowl and cover, two chocolate cups, two tea bowls and saucers, and two coffee cups 414:770/ to J-1885 (Sch. I 764 to J). The service was made for William Cowles, merchant of No. 33 Castle Green, Bristol. Some other parts of the service are in the British Museum, London. Lady Charlotte Schreiber purchased the items in this service from Miss Prideaux, Knightsbridge, for £1, 10 shillings, £2, £2, and £1 in November 1868 |
