woven silk backed with cotton twill and faced with woven silk.
Part of a woven silk shawl of the 'Husein Quli Khan' type with an integral border on three sides; cut across the bottom. The ground is dark blue and a slightly diagonal right facing boteh is repeated 12 times per row. Straight repeat. A pair of green leaves form the bottom of the boteh and then small segments form an internal band around a spray of small flower heads. There is a round blossom enclosed by the curving tip of the boteh. The colours are: green, light green, orange, white.
The narrow border contains a geometric meander with a 6-petalled flower with an orange centre.
Backing: pieced red cotton.
Facing: bias-cut striped silk; dark blue and white stripes each containing an isolated motif.
