woven and brocaded silk and metal thread. Pieced together from several sections of pattern. The ground is blue warp-faced plain weave and is brocaded with blue, green and yellow silk and metal thread [silver strip open S-wound on a yellow silk core] with alternating rows of birds with plumed heads perched on flowering bushes with butterflies and 'cloud' motifs around them.
