(under revision) Baby's panelled oak cradle. The body of the cradle is straight-sided and rectangular, and is carried on a pair of transverse rockers. It has an open-topped hood, the head with paired strapwork scrolls at the upper edge, and turned finials.
[Cradle. Panelled, with carved head-boards. It bears the initials C.B.M.B., the year, 1641, and the day, OCTOBER 14th. DAI (DAY) (Probably the date of the birth of the infant for whom it was made). On each side are knobs to fasten down the bedding. The rails terminate with finials of acorn shape. 1641.
