This electrotype medal of bronzed copper depicts a female figure clad in flowing drapery, and wearing a mural crown teaching a boy and girl the art of drawing. Behind them there is a shield of arms of the city of Paris, and in the background is seen a view of the city itself. The legend reads LA VILLE DE PARIS ENSEIGNE LE DESSIN A SES ENFANTS. The medal is signed in the exergue 'Louis Bottée.'
