Child's side chair, of beech and elm woods. The beech wood chair has an open framed back, with a slightly incurving top rail and yoke, both of which are rectangular in section, and a solid wooden seat. The slightly dished trapezoid seat is of elm wood. Each back stay and back leg is cut in one piece, square in section, with a rounded top; the front legs are turned and slightly tapering, with a spindle stretcher between them. The back stretcher and the paired side stretchers are of plain wooden dowelling.
