'Please' is a children's book written by Edith Flack Ackley and illustrated by her daughter Telka. They wrote another book together called 'Thank You'.
Edith Flack Ackley was an American artist and writer although she is best remembered for her cloth dolls. She also published a number of books and patterns so that people could make their own dolls.
The book is about a girl who must learn to say please when she wants something, rather than just taking it. On the back page is a picture of the girl's dress with a pocket that holds a miniature book. This book is titled, "A Story About" with a space for the reader to write their name in, creating a story about themselves.
