This jacket was once worn in performance with The Beatles, by drummer Ringo Starr, circa 1962.

Pop/rock musician and occasional vocalist, Starr was bought into the Beatles by their manager Brian Epstein to replace their then drummer, Pete Best. Starr was an established drummer and already well known on the Liverpool scene with his band 'Rory Storm and the Hurricanes '.

The Beatles (Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr) featured in films such as 'A Hard Day's Night', and 'Help!', producing the albums 'The White Album', and 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' among others, and their own record label, 'Apple'.

After the band split in 1970, Starr went on to have a solo career.
