One of two plates with 414:76/A-1885 (Sch. I 469A)
The pair was purchased by Lady Charlotte Schreiber from Captain Lee's sale, Christie's, for £5 in May 1873.
Acquired as Bow porcelain. Reattributed to 'Lowdin's (Bristol)' factory by Bernard Rackham, 1910s-1920s. Considered 'probably Liverpool' in 1953 and thereafter 'perhaps Longton Hall, about 1756'.
Reattributed to William Ball's factory, Liverpool, and subsequently to Vauxhall.
