Sauce boat of porcelain, transfer-printed over the glaze in black, and moulded in relief at the ends with broad fluting, and on the sides, with wreaths of foliage, enclosing four panels with figures from the Four Seasons which are on the outside, and on either side between the panels is a scrolled looped handle rising above the rim, with a knob on the top of it, and with a series of prints depicting a lady and a gardener with a flower pot and watering can, a man and woman reaping corn, a man and woman drinking wine in a vineyard, and a man skating and pushing a lady in a sledge, and inside the bottom is a print of swans and other water-fowl amongst trees.
