Staff of porcelain, painted with overglaze enamels and gilding. Of ruyi-shaped. The head is decorated with a scene under a pine tree and the three star gods of Daoism: left, the star-god of happiness holding a child in his arms; centre, the star-god of rank holding a ruyi-sceptre; right, the star-god of longevity (also known as Shoulao). Two children are standing near. The shaft is painted with numbers of bats signifying happiness.
