Ewer, stoneware with a white slip and incised decoration under an olive-brown glaze, China, Tang dynasty (618-906)
Physical description
Stoneware vessel of ovoid shape with flat base, short neck and wide flaring mouth, short ribbed spout and a grooved strip handle, between them two grooved lugs. Covered with a white slip under a mottled olive-brown glaze, decorated with incised cross-hatchings on the body, and double rings around the shoulder.
