The basic shell is of a highly refined form which needs little padding. Its capacity both to swivel and rock allows the sitter, in degree, to change posture without actually moving the body position in the shell. The Karuselli was first shown at the International Trade Fair, Helsinki, in 1965, and received the Lunning Prize in 1966.
